WHEN PERSECUTION COMES

Is it a time for self-defense, in the name of self-preservation?

Remember Jesus commanded us, saying,

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Matthew 5:38-45

Also, Paul told us…

“we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints”

Ephesians 6:12-18

That is how we fight. Not for SELF preservation, but for the purity of the message. Even if it kills us.

Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell… And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. ~

Matthew 10:27-28, 38-39

The practicality of this non-violent approach can be seen in the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus, in the four gospels, as well as in his Apostles, as documented in the book of Acts.

Noise of Thunder Radio

Chris interviews a special guest on the program today, a university student from Rwanda named Andrew Mark.  Andrew was just six years old when the Rwanda Genocide took place in 1994 and now shares insights into the politics and theology that drove this terrible tragedy.  What was the role of the Roman Catholic Church?  Did Catholic missionaries sow seeds of hatred among the people, and compel some of them to commit mass murder?

Religious Intolerance & Blasphemy laws Pt. 14 – Bangladesh: Culture of Impunity

Bangladesh Culture of Impunity

JourneyManPictures

Despite its many human rights violations, Bangladesh still receives European and international aid.

In Bangladesh, poverty and corruption have long been endemic. Yet religious intolerance is an ever-growing problem. Controlled by an Islamic state, religious minorities – such as Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and others – remain under constant threat, with “crimes against them rarely punished”. As Shahriar Kabir explains, “we have recorded more than 3000 incidents of minority persecutions ranging from killings, rape, arson, plundering and looting”. But how and why has Bangladesh been allowed to thrive as an “extremist haven”? After all, “a challenge of human rights violations in any place on earth is a challenge for the international community”. ~ Miles Roston

Little Horn Pt. 3

eucharist

The kingdom of the “little horn”, which came after the rise, and fall, of Medo-Persia, Greece, and pagan Rome, which are the kingdoms of silver, bronze, and iron, of Daniel’s prophecy (Daniel 2:27-45), is the Holy Roman Empire. The capital of the empire is Rome, which has been known as “the city of seven hills” throughout history. The religion of Rome, which is Roman Catholicism, ruled over the empire, and was used by Satan as a weapon against the gospel of Jesus Christ, his church, and the Jewish people, throughout its reign. This religious persecution has killed approximately fifty million people by way of its inquisitions, and crusades against Jews, Christians, and everyone who refused to submit t0 the religion of Rome.

Daniel 8

9    And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.
10    And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.
11    He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
12    Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.

The religion of Rome carried out the work of Satan, according to Revelation chapter 12, by claiming to be the church of Jesus Christ, and converting the European nations to a false religion that contradicted the gospel of Christ. During this time, the Bible was outlawed, and to be found with a Bible was punishable by death. The false religion of Rome was a, mystical, Gregor13sacramental religion, which claimed to continue the work of Christ by constantly atoning for the people’s sins, and even claiming that the priests were able to turn the bread and wine into the body, and blood, of Christ, without changing the appearance of the sacrament. In this way, Christ was to be continually offered, again, and again, for the people’s sins. This doctrine contradicts the warning from Scripture that teaches that Christ was to be offered once, and for all, for the sins of the people, and those who attempt to offer him up again cannot be forgiven, or restored to repentance. Therefore, this heresy of Rome serves to harden people to the true gospel, and prevent them from being saved by it.

Hebrews 10

4    For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5    and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6    if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
7    For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;
8    but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 3

12    Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;
13    but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Galatians 5

19    Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20    idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21    envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Rome’s religion has not only redefined Christ’s atonement, but it has changed the gospel of salvation by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus, to a works based religion, which also prevents people from believing the truth. This is done by redefining the order of salvation, and justification by faith. The Biblical order of salvation, and justification by faith is stated below.

  • Election by God, the Father, before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-11).
  • Called, and drawn, by God, the Father, and taught by him, through the preaching of the gospel (John 6:44-45, Matthew 11:25-27).
  • Regenerated by the word of God, and the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-8, Romans 10:14-17, Ephesians 2:1-6, John 15:3, 1Peter 1:23-25).
  • Justification through repentance & believing the good news of salvation (John 6:34-40, Romans 3:19-26, Mark 1:15, Romans 10:6-13).
  • Sanctification through abiding in the teachings of Scripture, and not the Old Covenant law, nor man-made traditions (John 15:1-17, Galatians 3:22-27, Colossians 2:4-23, 2Peter 1:16-21).
  • Glorification when Jesus returns to raise his people from the dead to reign with him forever (1Corinthians chp. 15, Romans 6:3-8, 1Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 20:4-6).

Rome’s false order of salvation does not justify sinners until the sinners have finished paying of their sins in purgatory, as seen below.

  • Baptism removes original sin from converts, and puts them in a right relationship with God.
  • Confirmation is when converts receive the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands, and is also when they receive a patron saint into their lives, which is the equivalent of a spirit guide in occult religions.
  • The Eucharist is the sacrament, which is stated above, that converts partake of for the purpose of receiving forgiveness for venial sins, which are slight and pardonable sins.
  • Penance is confession of sins to a priest to receive forgiveness or punishment for sins.
  • Extreme unction is the anointing of dying converts for the purpose of preparing their souls for Heaven.
  • Cleansing by fire is purgatory, wherein the converts are to have their sins purged for an indefinite amount of time before entering Heaven.
  • Justification is when the converts finally is released from purgatory, and enter Heaven.

The religion of Rome has made its priests modern day pharisees throughout the church age by way of its false teachings, its hypocrisy, its exaltation of priests, and its greed.

Matthew 23

4    For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5    But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.
6    They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
7    greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’
bxvi-calendar38    But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.9    Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
10    And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
11    But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12    And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
13    “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
14    Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
15    “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
16    “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.’
17    Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
18    And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.’
19    Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
20    Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.
21    He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it.22    And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.
23    “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
24    Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
25    “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.
26    Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.worship of the dead
27    “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.
28    Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29    “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous
,30    and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
31    “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.
32    Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.
33    Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
34    Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,
35    that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

Religious Intolerance & Blasphemy laws Pt. 13 – Pakistani Court Ordered Police to Withdraw Blasphemy Charges Against Christian Girl

NYTimes.Com

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — A Pakistani court ordered the police to withdraw blasphemy charges against a Christian teenager on Tuesday, lawyers said, bringing an end to a contentious case that had gripped the country and sown fear in its Christian minority population.

The girl, Rimsha Masih, who comes from an impoverished family of sweepers, was arrested in August after Muslim accusers said she had been holding a burned copy of the Noorani Qaida, a religious textbook used to teach the Koran to children.

Relatives and human rights workers have said that the girl, 14, has Down syndrome and should therefore be exempt from the blasphemy laws.

On Tuesday, Justice Iqbal Hameed ur Rahman, who heads the Islamabad High Court, stated in his judgment that there was no evidence for the charges against Ms. Masih. In his 15-page judgment, he urged extreme caution in matters related to blasphemy and criticized the practice of fake blasphemy accusations against non-Muslims.

“The case against Rimsha Masih is finished,” said Tahir Naveed Chaudhry, one of her lawyers. “Justice has been served.”

Religious Intolerance & Blasphemy laws Pt. 11 – Lawyer Imprisoned for Defending a Christian

ChristianPost.Com

Reports from various human rights organizations Tuesday indicate that Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, the human rights lawyer responsible for defending Iranian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, has started serving a nine-year prison sentence for allegedly acting against national security and spreading propaganda.

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which closely followed Pastor Nadarkhani’s court case and is likewise following Dadkhah’s case, says that because Dadkhah represents his clients free of charge, he is being accused of “aiding and abetting” in the alleged crimes of his clients.

“In a world where persecution on the basis of faith is escalating, we must also stand with those who defend our fundamental freedoms,” Tiffany Barrans, International Legal Director for the ACLJ, told The Christian Post in an emailed statement. “As the world awakened to the realities of religious persecution in Iran when the masses fought for Pastor Youcef’s freedom, we must now shift our attention to defend those who defend the persecuted.”

“Mr. Dadkhah’s recent imprisonment represents how the Iranian regime is frightened by those who stand for justice,” she concluded.

A spokesman for Navi Pillay, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, spoke out Tuesday in Geneva against Dadkhah’s imprisonment, saying that his jail sentence signifies a “severe clampdown” on journalists and human rights advocates in Iran.

In his statement, spokesman Rupert Colville confirmed that Dadkhah, according to Iranian officials, was arrested for “membership in an association seeking to overthrow the government and propaganda against the system.”

Changing Laws Pt. 9 – The Root of Evil

There is more to 9/11 than what the mainstream media has reported.

Understand that the world is under the sway of  Satan, the god of this world, and that this world’s system is marked by God for destruction.

1John 5
19    And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Revelation 12
10    And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11    And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12    Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

2Corinthians 4
3    But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4    In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5    For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6    For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The only hope, for the people of this world, is to turn away from sin, and to believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, because the reign of wickedness will not last forever. God will judge this world in righteousness, and everyone who loved it.

1John 2
15    Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16    For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17    And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Acts 17
26    And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27    That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28    For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29    Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
30    And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31    Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

John 8
12    Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
23    And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24    I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
31    Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32    And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33    They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34    Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35    And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36    If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 6
35    And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36    But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37    All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38    For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39    And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40    And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Romans 10
6    But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7    Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11    For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Religious Intolerance & Blasphemy laws Pt. 4 – Persecuted Christians take Shelter in Forest

Huffington Post – “Having fled their homes in the latest spasm of Pakistani religious strife, a few hundred Christians have camped in a forest in the Pakistani capital, cut down trees and are using the branches to build a church.

Their ordeal began when a Christian girl in their poor Islamabad neighborhood was accused by a neighbor of burning pages of the Quran – a blasphemy by Pakistani law that can mean life in prison.”

UCANEWS.COM – “Nine Christian student nurses in Karachi have claimed they were poisoned last week, in an incident that put the women in hospital. The toxic substance that they ingested was so powerful, it took effect in a matter of seconds.

They say they were poisoned from drinking tea during a group study session at the hostel of the city’s Civil Hospital on July 29.

Some of them suspect they may have been the target of Muslims unhappy that they violated Ramadan fasting rules by drinking the tea.”
