The protest of this tragic murder is a necessity for maintaining the standard of justice in a corrupt society. However, within a corrupt society is the temptation to attach God to the causes of man as if he were merely a mascot, or a means to an end, instead, of a Holy and Sovereign God, who is to be revered and obeyed. This God is the true God, whose agenda man should strive to understand, and adopt as his own. Mankind should not try to attach God to his cause no matter how passionate it may be. To do so will always result in a social gospel of some sort; the hope of making a better world.

The social gospel’s agenda is humanistic, and has know regard for God’s agenda.

But what is God’s agenda?

And what does he have to say in regard to the murder of innocent children, such as Trayvon???

Luke 19

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

John 3

16    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17    For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Luke 13

1    There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2    And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3    I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4    Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5    I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Mark 1

15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Understand that God will judge this world when his Son, Jesus Christ, returns to set up his kingdom on earth. Then this present world of sin will pass away, and be replaced by a rule of righteousness under the Son of God. However, the coming kingdom of Heaven is not for mankind, but everyone who knows and obeys the Lord Jesus in this life.

Jude 1

14 Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15    To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

If we hope to make a better world before Christ’ return, we’ll be disappointed; but if we suffer with Christ, then we will also reign with him. So protest whenever you see fit, but let your hope of salvation be rooted in Jesus Christ, who has made atonement for the sins of the world, so that whoever believes in him will be saved.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
