Mayhem; from Connecticut to Henan

 connecticut-school-shooting

Chicago Tribune  –

The gunman in the Connecticut shooting rampage was carrying an arsenal of hundreds of rounds of especially deadly ammunition — enough to kill just about every student in the school if given enough time, authorities said Sunday, raising the chilling possibility that the bloodbath could have been far worse.

Adam Lanza shot himself in the head just as he heard police drawing near to the classroom where he was slaughtering helpless children, but he had more ammunition at the ready in the form of multiple, high-capacity clips each capable of holding 30 bullets.

The chief medical examiner has said the ammunition was the type designed to break up inside a victim’s body and inflict the maximum amount of damage, tearing apart bone and tissue.

At least 22 children and one adult have been injured in a knife attack outside a primary school in central China, police say.

An officer said the attack, in the village of Chengping in Henan province, happened shortly before 8am on Friday, as students were arriving for classes.

The attacker, believed to be 36-year-old villager Min Yingjun, is in police custody, said officials.

A county hospital administrator said the man first attacked an elderly woman, then students, before being subdued by security guards. Two students have since been transferred to “better-equipped” hospitals outside the county.

China has witnessed a spate of school stabbings in recent years, leading to more security guards being deployed across the vast country.

In March 2010, eight children were murdered in Nanping, Fujian province, by 41-year-old knifeman Zheng Minsheng. The attacker was executed a month later, hours before 33-year-old Chen Kangbing injured 16 students and a teacher at Hongfu Primary School in Leizhou, Guangdong.

In April 29 2010, 28 school children – mostly four-year-olds – were stabbed alongside two teachers and a security guard in Taixing, Jiangsu. On April 30, Wang Yonglai committed suicide after using a hammer to attack preschool children in Weifang, Shandong.

Further attacks in the months and years following have left 11 children and four adults dead, and several more injured.

The recent tragedies may seem strange to most people, and evil to all. But these are not strange occurrences. This is the connecticut-school-shooting1evil heart of man being revealed through their actions. When mankind looks at itself through the mirror of God’s word, it will not find good, but evil. Self analysis will reveal hard truths that mankind does not want to see, nor admit to (John 7:7).

The truth about mankind is that “by one man’s disobedience [Adam] many were made sinners”, and “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 5:19, Romans 6:23). Also, “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9).

Some may blame God for not protecting them from the crimes of others. But is mankind on good terms with God to begin with? God has already said that his “hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear” just as he said to the Jews after they turned away from him to serve false gods (Isaiah 59:1-2). The nations of the world are also guilty of the same crime, “because, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things” (Romans 1:21-23). This sin of idolatry continues to this day, but in modernized forms, such as the love of self, and the love of pleasure. All of humanity is guilty of this sin, because “there is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one” (Romans 3:10-12). Furthermore, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). But sinful mankind is not under the influence of God’s Spirit, and instead, mankind is carnal, earthly, sensual, living for the passions of the body, and the mind, because sin dwells in mankind, and rules over them (Ephesians 2:3). Therefore, mankind is dead to God “in trespasses and sins”, and lives “according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:1-2). This is why “the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8).

Therefore, God is not the Father of sinful man, but Satan is. Jesus also affirmed this when speaking to the leaders of his day, who claimed to be God’s children when he said “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins… If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me… You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.” (John 8:23-44). Jesus said that mankind’s spiritual father comes to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy”, and Scripture also states that God has handed mankind over to it’s immorality, because mankind does not, and will not, serve the true God (John 10:10, Romans 1:26-32).

Satan, who is the spiritual father of sinful man, has been cast out of Heaven, and is now causing all kinds of evil, and tribulation, throughout the world. That is why Jesus said “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”, and Scripture also6_satan-cast-out records this, in Revelation chapter 12:9-12,”So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”, and “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Jesus, in Matthew chapter 24, described this “short time” as a time of deception, war, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places, and that these things are the beginning of sorrows for the world. He said that “many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another, and that “because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthews 24:4-12). The Apostle John was also shone a vision of a “horse, fiery red… And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword” (Revelation 6:4).

Therefore, the reason that the world is experiencing the mayhem, and wickedness, that is now plaguing it is because mankind is under the control of sin, and it is under the influence of Satan, who rules as “the god of this world” (2Corinthians 4:4). But God will not allow this to continue forever, “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:31). This Man, whom God has ordained to judge the world, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who “was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1John 3:8). He is the only hope for the people of this world that has, long ago, turned away from God, just as he is the only hope for Israel, who also turned away from God in their day. Just as the Jews had to humble themselves, confess their sins, and place their hope in God’s mercy to forgive, and restore, them, so must the rest of mankind.

Isaiah 59

9     Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness!
10     We grope for the wall like the blind, And we grope as if we had no eyes; We stumble at noonday as at twilight; We are as dead men in desolate places.
11     We all growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We look for justice, but there is none; For salvation, but it is far from us.
12     For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them:
13     In transgressing and lying against the LORD, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14     Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.
15     So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.  Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice.
16     He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
17     For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.
18     According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay.
19     So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
20     ” The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the LORD.
21    “As for Me,” says the LORD, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the LORD, “from this time and forevermore.”

This salvation, and restoration, is the work of Christ. God, the Father, spoke of the coming of his Son, Jesus Christ in this way : “‘Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He OXYGEN VOLUME 13will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.’ Thus says God the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: ‘I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house'” (Isaiah 42:1-7).

Jesus spoke of his salvation in this way: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15). “No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”Jesus-teaching (John 3:13-18). “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” (John 6:47-51). “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free… Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:31-36). “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

Therefore, Jesus “is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world” (1John 2:2), and believing in his sacrifice for sins sets people free from sin. Those who believe in Christ are given power to overcome the power of Satan “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). So they may die, and may even die violent deaths, but they have been given eternal life, and will be resurrected to live forever with Christ, because the Scripture says “if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him.” (2Timothy 2:11-12).
The problem with the world is sin, the world, and the devil. The hope for the people of this world is Jesus Christ. Outside of him, there is no hope, and the world has been marked, by God, for destruction. The signs of the destruction can jesus_on_cross_2oo4already be seen by the fulfillment of various Biblical prophecies listed above. If one’s hope is in this world, and making it better, that one’s hope will lead to disappointment, because God has already declared this world’s judgment. Instead, the people of this world are commanded, by God, to turn from their sins, and believe in the gospel of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the true God, and the Living God, and he is our salvation.

Romans 5

6    For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7    For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8    But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9    Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10    For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
11    And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

1Corinthians 15

20    But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.21    For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.resurrection_from_the_dead_jesus_christ
22    For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
23    But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
24    Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
25    For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
26    The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

War on Consciousness Pt. 26 – The Collective Salvation of the Superior Group

Wittenberg, NationalsynodeWorldview Weekend Radio

On today’s program Brannon discusses the dangers of collective salvation, group consensus, existentialism and how the false church in Nazi Germany embraced these ideas and how they are being embraced again by a rising, global, false church. Martin Heidegger was the First Nazi Rector of a German University. Martin Heidegger was influenced by Søren Kierkegaard and Kierkegaard also influenced the false church with his belief in subjective truth. Heidegger promoted deconstructionism in Germany and when he joined the Nazi party he aided the Nazi party in teaching the idea of community and collective salvation to the false church in Germany. Heidegger helped to indoctrinate the church in both existentialism and the idea of collectivism, group consensus, and denial of the value and worth of the individual. These philosophies helped to lay the foundation for the Nazi holocaust. How have postmodernism, existentialism, and collective salvation come into the modern church today? What serious consequences could result in today’s world from these dangerous philosophies? How do the New Religious Right and Religious Left embrace group consensus and collective salvation albeit in different forms?

Another influence from the grave is the writings of Jane Lead. Particularly her 1679 prophecy of the “Philadelphian Church“, which has been adopted, in part, by the New Apostolic Reformation, the Latter Rain Movement, the Vineyard Movement, and IHOP. The key character traits of these two movements is the emphasis on the importance of collectivism through, around-the-clock, group prayer meetings for the purpose of coming under the control of the Holy Spirit, whom, they claim, desires to use them to perform signs and wonders on a scale so great that it would convert the world to Jesus Christ, and also cause Christ to return to the earth through their elite church, which would also become gods, and would be so powerful that the earth would be restored by the power of this elite church.

This experienced-based, false church, as seen with IHOP, has no tolerance for sound doctrine, and instead, desires to know God through the senses, apart from Scripture, and seeks after signs and wonders, because the gospel of Christ isn’t enough for them, and adherents to the written word of God are even seen as those who follow dead religion. This perspective automatically causes this elite church to see the true church, that desires to follow the God of the Bible, rather than the strange doctrines, and practices, derived from experiences , as false, dead, and as salt that has lost its savor. Nevertheless, it is the wicked generation that seeks after a sign, and refuses to seek, and obey, the written word of God.

Matthew 16

1    The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2    He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3    And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4    A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Psalm 119

1    Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2    Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3    They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

Psalm 1

1    Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2    But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3    And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4    The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5    Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6    For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

What is required of the church during this time of promoting the fallacy of group consensus, and collective salvation, is to abide in Christ, which means we must study God’s word, meditate on it day and night, and most of all, obey it, even in the face of persecution and death (John 15:3-5, Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 119:1-8). Just as Noah was the only one preaching, and standing up for the truth, in the midst of his wicked generation, before the flood came, and destroyed the old, proud, world, with its great numbers , who were sure of their collective movement of lawlessness, so the church of Jesus Christ must stand in this evil day, against the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, by standing up for the truth of who God is, and the truth of the gospel (Ephesians 6:10-13). This is done by preaching the gospel to the lost, making disciples of Jesus Christ, teaching them to obey everything that he has commanded those who follow him, and by contending earnestly for the faith, once delivered to the saints, by casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Jude 1:3-4, 2Corinthians 10:4-5). Christ’s command to his church is to put on the whole armor of God, so that they are able to stand for the truth in the midst of this wicked generation (Ephesians 6:10-18, 1Peter 1:8-20).

The church must be willing to stand for the true God, and the gospel, when it is vastly out numbered (Matthew 10:16-40, Matthew 24:9-13). It must be willing to stand up, by the grace of God, under persecution. Christ church must be willing to be rejected by this sinful world, and separated themselves from the false prophets who are promoted by the mainstream Christian media (Luke 6:26, Matthew 5:10-16). It must separate itself from the ecumenical practices of the New Religious Right (2Corinthians 6:14-18, 1John 2:3-6, 1John 5:18-21).

The power of God in the church is its witness of the gospel, through the power of the Holy Spirit, which they have been given in their mortal bodies, to show that it is not by might, nor by power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit that they are able to stand firm until Christ returns (Romans 1:16-17, Ephesians 3:14-21, Corinthians 4:5-7, Zechariah 4:1-6, Hebrews 10:35-38).

The church began its mission of gospel proclamation through signs, and wonders, confirming their witness to be from God (Mark 16:17-20, Hebrews 2:3-4). The church has no more need for signs, and wonders, now that the fullness of their faith has been revealed by the written word of God (1Corinthians 13:8-13, James 1:21-25, 2Timothy 3:14-17). Now they must shine as lights in these last hours by their faith, through preaching the gospel, and through the sign of boldness in martyrdom (Daniel 12:3, Daniel 12:7-10, 2Timothy 4:1-5, Revelation 12:10-12). Signs, and wonders, are no longer needed by the true church to affirm their righteousness to the collective, superior group, because they are the just, who live by faith in God’s written word, which promised them resurrection to eternal life, when Christ returns, and judges this world in righteousness (2Thessalonians 1:3-12, 1Thessalonians 4:13-18, Isaiah chp. 26).

Test All Things Pt. 2 – Homosexuality & Salvation

homosexual-question

The latest interviews by Rick Warren, as shown in this article entitled “Rick Warren Uncertain if Homosexual Behavior is Sinful, Says ‘Gays’ Go to Heaven“, reveals the growing confusion over the issue of homosexuality, sin, and salvation. As stated in the article, Warren isn’t the only one spreading this confusion, but other mainstream Christian media personalities are guilty of promoting this confusion as well. This is because of their statement in the media that can lead many into asking, “Is homosexuality a sin?”, “Can practicing homosexuals inherit eternal life?”, and “Is it a sin to have same sex attractions?” These Christian media personalities, who claim to be ministers of the gospel of salvation, reveal their bad fruit by their poor affirmation of the gospel. Yet, there are others who affirm the truth on this controversial topic, as is also stated in the article.

To set the record straight concerning what the Bible has to say about these questions, the following Scriptures has been stated below.

Is homosexuality a sin?

Scripture describes homosexuality as uncleanness, vile affections, and an error of man’s, lustful, reprobate (immoral), minds, which God has handed mankind over to because of man’s refusal to acknowledge, and worship, the true God, whom they replaced with mere idols. Therefore, homosexuality is one of the judgments of God upon mankind for their sin of idolatry (Exodus 20:3-6). Therefore, if people are born homosexuals, it is only an affirmation of God’s judgment upon mankind, and it could in no way validate homosexual desires, because God is love, and love “does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth” (1John 4:8 & 1Corinthians 13:6). Instead, people are born sinners, because “one man’s [who is Adam] disobedience many were made sinners” (Romans 5:19). Furthermore, love does not tempt others to sin, in the name of love, because the act of true love is to “love God, and keep His commandments.  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.” And Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments”, and Jesus’ command to mankind is to “Repent [turn from sin], and believe in the gospel”.

Romans 1

21    Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22    Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23    And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24    Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25    Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26    For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27    And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28    And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Can practicing homosexuals inherit eternal life?

Jesus’ command, to mankind, is to turn from sin, and to believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, which can save all sinners, who are willing to humble themselves before God, and confess their life-style as sinful, bringing their sinful deeds to the light of God’s truth, and turning away from their sins to believe, and obey, the gospel of Christ; while those who reject Christ remains in the darkness of their sin, which they love more than the truth of Christ’s sacrifice for their forgiveness, and freedom from sin, and God’s judgment (Mark  1:15, John 3:14-21).

1Corinthians 6

9    Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
10    nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
11    And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Hebrews 10

26    For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27    But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28    He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29    Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30    For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31    It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Is it a sin to have same sex attractions?

Jesus reveals that those who look on some one with lustful desires is guilty of the sin of sexual immorality. Furthermore, Scripture teaches that the thoughts of a person reveals their true self, and God will not hear the prayers of one who’s heart is set on evil.

Matthew 5

27    Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28    But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29    And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30    And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Proverbs 23

6    Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
7    For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Psalm 66

18    If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Therefore, the only hope for mankind is the same hope that Jesus described to Nicodemus, saying “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God…Ye must be born again” (John 3:3-7). Also, those who are born of God, by the preaching of the gospel, and by the Holy Spirit, may struggle with sinful thoughts, and desires, but they have God’s grace to free them from the bondage of sin, as they grow in their knowledge of the gospel, and their obedience to it, because the word of God is powerful, and it transforms their minds, and character, into the character, and mind, of Christ(Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 5:16-25).

John 8

12    Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
23    And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24    I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
31    Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32    And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
34    Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35    And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36    If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

2Corithinians 5

17    Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18    And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19    To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20    Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21    For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 10

8    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11    For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1John 1

6    If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7    But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8    If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9    If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10    If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1John 2

1    My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2    And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3    And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4    He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5    But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6    He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Philippians 3

18    (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19    Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20    For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21    Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1John 5

18    We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19    And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20    And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21    Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

REAL TALK RADIO BRAND STORY

One day as I listened to the seemingly endless sea of as they spoke of their faith and quoted scripture, it became painfully clear to me that Christianity is in a deep crisis of identity. There appeared to be three basic reasons for the loss of uniformity within the Christian community. 1) Biblical Illiteracy 2) A theology that limits God to love only 3) Lack of understanding of the gospel. As this became clear to me I was compelled to build. But what would I build? I would build an institute that would seek to regain what Christianity has lost. I would build a forum of which the unasked questions of Christianity could be asked and answered by the one who answers all questions…God! To do this God must be put back into the Christian conversation. His word must rule the life of the Christian.

REAL TALK RADIO MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of real talk radio to lead the way in the restoration of Christianity back to the truth of the word of God and to restore biblical literacy to Gods people.

Test All Things Pt. 1 – Commentary on the ‘Baptist Mystic’

charles stanely

Christian mysticism is becoming the new norm due to the Christian media, and its mainstream Christian media personalities. Mysticism is promoted as though it were just another Christian practice, and the result is that it can be challenging for followers of Christ to discern the difference between a relationship with God, and the mystical counterfeit. It comes in various forms; some in the form of new age mysticism, sometimes it is promoted as Roman Catholic Mysticism, and sometimes it is promoted in more subtle and simple ways, such as with Charles Stanley, who does not deny his mystical tendencies, and even described it, in the interview below, with Christianity today, as simply “knowing who God is, having a relationship with him, and hearing his voice”. But, is his understanding of “knowing who God is, having a relationship with him, and hearing his voice” the same as how the Bible describes these three aspects of Christian living?

To find out, if Mr Stanley’s mystical approach to “knowing who God is, having a relationship with him, and hearing his voice” is consistent with what Scripture teaches, one must compare the two teachers, which is Scripture and Charles Stanley.

Christianity Today

In the interview with Christianity Today, Mr. Stanley makes the claim that his lack of having a father in his life has caused him to live his Christian life without experiencing God’s love for him, and that it was a mystical experience that revealed God’s love for him, as stated below.

Talk about the absence of your father. For some people that would make it difficult to pray to God as Father.

You’re exactly right. That was very difficult. When people would ask me about my dad, I’d say, “My father died when I was nine months of age. So I never knew him.” Period. There was no emotion. That was the end of it until later on in my life.

I’d been a pastor for quite a number of years, and something was going on that I couldn’t figure out. There was an emptiness I couldn’t define. It forced me to get on my face and cry out to God, “Lord, what are you trying to say to me? Because whatever it is, I’m not getting the message.”

I called four friends and told them that I was trying to find the will of God about something. I didn’t know what it was, didn’t know how to go about it. Would they be willing to meet with me and just talk with me? So we made an appointment to meet.

I said, “What I’d like to do is this: I’d like to tell you everything I know about myself, and between the four of you and God, I will do whatever you will tell me to do.” So we talked from about two o’clock till dinner, and then after dinner. I woke up in the middle of the night many times and wrote 17 longhand legal-sized sheets of things that I wanted to remember to tell them that had not crossed my mind the previous afternoon.

Next morning we talked on until about ten o’clock. Finally I said, “That’s everything I know about me. I don’t think I held out anything.”

One of the men said, “Charles, put your head on the table and close your eyes.” So I did. “Your father just picked you up in his arms and held you. What do you feel?” And I burst out crying, and I cried and cried and cried and cried. Then he asked me again, and I just kept crying.

Finally when I settled down I said, “I feel warm, loved, and accepted.” For the first time in my life, I acknowledged and recognized that God really loved me, that I could have a personal relationship with him that went beyond salvation. It changed my life. It changed my ministry. It changed my perspective about everything, and it made me realize how very, very, very important a person’s relationship to their father is.

After reading Mr. Stanley’s story about his revelation of God’s love, one should then ask, “does Scripture teach believers to know God’s love by telling their life’s story to Christian friends, then being told to put one’s head down in a table, closing one’s eyes, and being told that the Father just picked that person up and gave them a hug, in order for them to know God’s love, and to know that God wants to have a relationship with them?

The Bible teaches that believers in Christ can know God’s love for them by understanding that God loves them so much that he did not spare his only begotten Son from suffering and death, and that this is the basis for the believer to know that God will give his children all things, and that nothing can separate a believer in Christ from God’s love.

Romans 8

31    What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32    He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33    Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34    Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35    Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36    As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37    Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38    For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39    Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A follower of Christ can also be sure of God’s love for him, or her, simply by reading what Jesus said about the Father’s love for his children.

Matthew 6

25    Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26    Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27    Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28    And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29    And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30    Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31    Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32    (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33    But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34    Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Scripture makes it abundantly clear how much the Father loves his children, who were bought with the blood of his Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5

1    Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2    By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3    And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4    And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5    And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6    For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7    For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9    Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10    For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11    And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

One must only read what God said on this matter, and believe it. This is possible because the Holy Spirit has been given to those who believe in Christ. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit has been sent by Jesus to teach his followers about Jesus, and his good news of salvation.

John 14

14    If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15    If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16    And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17    Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18    I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19    Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20    At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21    He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
26    But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27    Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 15

26    But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me

Mr. Stanley also presents an interesting way of hearing from God, and being sure that the spirit speaking to an individual is really the Holy Spirit.

You often say in your books and preaching that God speaks to you, tells you things, and gives you messages. What is that like for you? Is it a thought? Is it a voice you hear?

For me, I get this strong sense of feeling that’s so clear, so direct to me. Like this week, something happened and I thought, Well, I could do thus and such, and God said, “Don’t do that.” I don’t hear a voice, but it’s so crystal sharp and clear to me, I know not to disobey that.

I think that comes from early in life as you learn to listen. You make mistakes; after a while, you realize as you obey him, it turns out right, and whatever your reason was for not obeying him, it doesn’t turn out right.

Is this pragmatic approach to hearing from God, and testing the spirits, affirmed by Scripture. Are strong feelings, that one may have about a matter, a way of identifying the voice of God? Should believers be confident that they heard from God just because they received the desired results? Jesus makes it clear that the pragmatic approach can be used as a tool to deceive people.

Mark 13

22    For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Jesus also gave this warning about the heart of those who seek after a sign, instead of God’s word.

Matthew 12

38    Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
39    But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

The Apostle John teaches the church not to believe every spirit, but to test the spirits by their doctrine.

1John 4

1    Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2    Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3    And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4    Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5    They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6    We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Scripture does not teach believers that they are dependent upon hearing from God, outside of Scripture, in order to know God’s will, but instead, the Holy Spirit teaches believers through Scripture, and it is Scripture that matures and equips believer for every good work.

2Timothy 3

16    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17    That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2John 1

26    These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27    But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28    And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

John 15

3    Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4    Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5    I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6    If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7    If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The Apostle Peter elevates the written word of God as more sure than his own experience with God.

2Peter 1

16    For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17    For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18    And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19    We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20    Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21    For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Therefore, strong feelings are not the test of hearing from God, and knowing his will, but studying and understanding Scripture is how believers are to hear from God, and know his will.  Believers know who God is by believing in the gospel of his Son, Jesus Christ, learning about him through Scripture, and obeying him. Abiding in Christ (prayerfully studying, meditating upon, and obeying, God’s word) is how believers are to know God’s will, and it is how they become equipped for doing his will. It is how they become more like Christ. It is how they have an intimate knowledge of God’s love for them. A mystical walk with God is not commanded of believers, but abiding in Christ is commanded of every believer. Abiding in Christ is also called walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-25), being transformed by renewing one’s mind (Roman 12:1-2), putting on the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 13:14), putting on the new man (Ephesians 4:22-24), putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and adding to one’s faith (2Peter 1:5-11). This is the key to having an intimate relationship with God, and it has nothing to do with sitting in the dark, in silence, learning to hear from God outside of Scripture. God, indeed, can speak to anyone, as he has in the past, but he does not command his people to practice hearing from him in this manner. Instead, he commands his children to learn of him by abiding in his Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God (John 1:1, Revelation 19-13). The practice of mysticism among Christians will only serve to take them away from God, as it replaces their relationship with God with a counterfeit, experienced-based, religion, that will lead them into error by way of mysticism’s subjective experiences.

Mark 9

2    And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3    And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4    And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5    And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6    For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7    And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8    And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

John 15

1    I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2    Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
8    Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9    As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10    If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11    These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Authors of Confusion Pt. 24 – Rick Warren & the “Seeker Sensitive, Purpose Driven, Emergent, World-Church”

rick warren

What makes Rick Warren, who is the Founder, and Senior Pastor, of Saddleback Church, and the author of “The Purpose Driven Life” an author of confusion, is his ecumenical work with other religions, his endorsement of Roman Catholic mysticism, his false gospel of easy-believism, his preaching of the social, man-centered, earth based, works-based, gospel, his contributions to the, seeker sensitive, emergent church movement, and his public affirmation of the heresy of God and Allah being the same God, while also denying it in interviews, all as stated in the video entitled “Church of Tares“.

Rick Warren, in his promotion of the, ecumenical, social gospel, signed a document which affirms Mohammad as a prophet, and Allah as the one true God, as though Allah were also the God of Christians, as stated below:

A Christian Response to ‘A Common Word Between Us and You’

Warren’s signature can be found near the end of the first list of names that signed the document. Roman Catholics can also be found on the list of names.

Preamble

We receive the open letter as a Muslim hand of conviviality and cooperation extended to Christians worldwide. In this response we extend our own Christian hand in return, so that together with all other human beings we may live in peace and justice as we seek to love God and our neighbors. “Before we “shake your hand” in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world. “

Love of God

We applaud that A Common Word Between Us and You stresses so insistently the unique devotion to one God, indeed the love of God, as the primary duty of every believer. God alone rightly commands our ultimate allegiance. When anyone or anything besides God commands our ultimate allegiance – a ruler, a nation, economic progress, or anything else – we end up serving idols and inevitably get mired in deep and deadly conflicts.

We find it equally heartening that THE GOD WHOM WE SHOULD LOVE ABOVE ALL THINGS is described as being Love. In the Muslim tradition, God, “the Lord of the worlds,” is “The Infinitely Good and All-Merciful.” And the New Testament states clearly that “God is love” (1 John 4:8). Since God’s goodness is infinite and not bound by anything, God “makes his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous,” according to the words of Jesus Christ recorded in the Gospel (Matthew 5:45).

Love of Neighbor

We find deep affinities with our own Christian faith when A Common Word Between Us and You insists that love is the pinnacle of our duties toward our neighbors. “None of you has faith until you love for your neighbor what you love for yourself,” the Prophet Muhammad said. In the New Testament we similarly read, “whoever does not love [the neighbor] does not know God” (1 John 4:8) and “whoever does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen” (1 John 4:20). God is love, and our highest calling as human beings is to imitate the One whom we worship.

The Task Before Us

“Let this common ground” – the dual common ground of love of God and of neighbor – “be the basis of all future interfaith dialogue between us,” your courageous letter urges. We most heartily agree. Abandoning all “hatred and strife,” we must engage in interfaith dialogue as those who seek each other’s good, ***FOR THE ONE GOD*** unceasingly seeks our good. Indeed, together with you we believe that we need to move beyond “a polite ecumenical dialogue between selected religious leaders” and work diligently together to reshape relations between our communities and our nations so that they genuinely reflect our common love for God and for one another.

We are persuaded that OUR next step should be for OUR LEADERS at every level TO MEET TOGETHER and begin the earnest work of determining HOW GOD WOULD HAVE US FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS THAT WE LOVE GOD AND ONE ANOTHER.

Warren, and his ecumenical partners are pursuing peace and unity between the very faiths that states, in their doctrine, that peace and unity should not be sought after because there is irreconcilable differences, and hostility between the two parties, and to be united in such an enterprise is considered betrayal.

The Quran is against unity between Muslims and Christians.

Surah 5:51
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.

God’s word forbids this kind of partnership as well.

2Corinthians 6

14    Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15    And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16    And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17    Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18    And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

God’s word teaches that Jesus said that he is not bringing peace to the world, but division.

Matthew 10

34    Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35    For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36    And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37    He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38    And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39    He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

1John 2

15    Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16    For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17    And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

There is a false peace that is coming to the world, just before its destruction. This false peace will come to the world when the world is calling for peace and security.

1Thessalonians 5

1    But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2    For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3    For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

In conclusion, Warren, and his ecumenical partners, are not, at all, doing the work of Christ’s church, but instead, they are building the foundation for the coming, harlot, world-church that precedes the great tribulation, and will reign over the kings of the world.

Revelation 17

1    And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2    With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3    So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4    And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5    And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
18    And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Worldview Weekend’s Commentary on Censorship of Christmas & Promotion of False Teachers

home_picWorldview Weekend Radio

Brannon’s guest is Chris Rosebrough. Topic: What is more offensive to you; secular companies that take Christ out of Christmas, or self-professing Christians promoting false teachers that are promoting a false Jesus and false gospel? American Family Association recently released their naughty and nice list of companies that do and do not acknowledge Christmas. However, is this really nothing more than straining at gnats while swallowing camels? AFA/AFR interviewed false teacher Heidi Baker this past year on their radio network and have worked with the likes of Lou Engle and the International House of Prayer. Should Christians be more concerned about secular companies taking Christ out of Christmas or self-professing Christian and pro-family groups giving credibility to people that have taken the Biblical Christ out of Christianity? Chris asked a very important question during this program—-how many people are going to enter hell for not saying “Merry Christmas”? None! How many will go to hell because they embraced a false Jesus and a false gospel proclaimed by false teachers? The answer is millions and millions. The “war on Christmas” by unbelievers should not be our ultimate concern compared to the war on the Biblical gospel and the Biblical Jesus by modern-day evangelicalism. Topic: Rick Warren makes the rounds of the secular media to promote the 10 year anniversary of his Purchase Driven Life book.
