Authors of Confusion Pt. 15 – The Calvary Chapel Movement
Lighthouse Trails Research –
In 2006, Calvary Chapel made a public stand against contemplative spirituality and the emerging church; they also stated: ”The teaching and positions of Rick Warren have come into conflict with us at Calvary Chapel. Pastor Chuck has directed us to discontinue this product effective immediately. Chuck Smith read Deceived on Purpose, A Time of Departing, and Faith Undone and found them right on. In a number of radio programs, Smith favorably acknowledged the work of Lighthouse Trails, and in private e-mails to editors at Lighthouse Trails, he made his support of our work and warnings to the body of Christ evident. But over the past few years, several confusing things have taken place that leave many wondering just what direction the Calvary Chapel movement is really heading. An upcoming conference called Twelve: 2011 Global Online Gathering held by Saddleback Church and Rick Warren is another example of why many people are becoming increasingly confused about Calvary Chapel.
One of the most “memorable” incidents was at Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusade 2009, when Rick Warren sat on the podium, was introduced by Chuck Smith as his “friend,” and gave the opening prayer.

Religious Trojan Horse ~ By Brannon Howse
Worldview Weekend Foundation –
Book description:
Brannon Howse echoes the warning of Jude 3-as urgent now as the day Jude first wrote the words almost 20 centuries ago. Godless worldviews have been eroding Europe’s and America’s Judeo-Christian heritage for years, but now the problem has taken a dire turn for the worse. While false teachers have been around since biblical times, infiltration of the church has increased alarmingly, just as Jesus predicted in Matthew 24.Well known evangelical and pro-family leaders have joined in events, alliances, and common causes with a shocking array of unbiblical partners. As a result, many contemporary “Christian” leaders embrace and encourage the false Jesus and false gospels of Mormonism, the New Age Movement, Roman Catholicism, Word of Faith teachers, the New Apostolic Reformation, Eastern Mysticism, and the spiritual left. Our bitterest philosophical enemies have made it past the gatekeepers of both mainstream and evangelical Christian thought, and anti-Christian worldviews have assembled within the walls of our churches. As a result, hostile forces wreak havoc in the minds and hearts of believers who are caught unaware.
In Religious Trojan Horse, Brannon exposes the outrageous breach of integrity in the Church, compromised by popular and dangerous teachings that are anything but scriptural. With thorough and precise documentation of every claim and accusation, Brannon shows exactly who is to blame and how. In this book, you’ll discover:·
How the philosophy and eschatology of false religions have infiltrated evangelicalism; ·
The saboteurs who have convinced 21st century evangelicals to embrace and promote heresies of the social gospel, dominion theology, ecumenicalism, mysticism, social justice, and communitarianism; ·
The real and present danger that a false church has brought “soft” persecution to biblically committed Christians-with worse to follow; ·
The potential for an apostate Church to become the catalyst for the coming New World Order; ·
How the Harlot Church of Revelation 17 will do the bidding of a one-world leader; ·
The threat that mainstreaming a blend of “signs and wonders” with mystical “Christianity” has already conditioned unaware sheeple to accept a one-world leader; ·
That the pro-family “industry” and its “culture war” have been an easy mark for infiltration by enemies of the Gospel;·
How Rick Warren, Tony Blair, Joel Osteen, C. Peter Wagner, Glenn Beck, Mikhail Gorbachev, the Rockefellers, Mike Bickle, Rick Joyner, Peter Drucker, Jim Wallis, Tony Compolo, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, and others have assisted in “building the religious Trojan horse.Brannon explains how the world’s religions are converging through a syncretism now supported by evangelicals. His revelations will shock you at first. Then you’ll likely be tempted to despair. And make no mistake, the situation is grim. Yet Brannon offers hope simply by opening your eyes to what is happening and what still can be done. He charts the path on which we can return to truly biblical teaching, preaching, and raising of our children.
“Certain men” are indeed creeping in unnoticed, but God is still in charge-and working decisively through those who will not exchange any of the truth for a lie. Religious Trojan Horse will help you become one of the ones stand against the invaders.

Mormonisn, Freemasonry, and Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck, the Mormon, wants to be considered by Christians, as a fellow follower of Christ. However, a simple examination of his religion, and it’s roots, and Glenn Beck’s Freemasonic symbols, will show that he is the exact opposite of a Christian, and should not be allowed to represent, or lead them, as though he were one of them.
Below is the Mormon temple in Utah, and one of its historical museums.
Mormonism was founded by a Freemason, named Joseph Smith, and the masonic handshake can be seen on the outside of the Mormon temple.
The “all seeing eye” can also be seen on the outside of the temple.
The inverted pentagram can clearly be seen as well.
The inverted pentagram is a symbol for Lucifer, just as the “all seeing eye”, and can also be see within the Mormon historical museum.
The god of Freemasonry is not Jesus, and the god of Mormonism, is not Jesus either. Therefore, these religions teaches idolatry.
“Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not!”
[Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p. 321, 19th Degree of Grand Pontiff]
Also, Freemasonry teaches witchcraft.
Glenn Beck is not a Christian, but a Mormon, and a occultist.

New Age Evangelicals
World View Weekend Radio – “Elijahlist.com promotes an article on increasing body frequencies with essential oils. Brannon explains why he believes this is nothing more than Word of Faith theology meets New Age teachings. While it may not surprise many that Word of Faith theology proponents would embrace New Age teachings, would it surprise you if evangelicals embraced New Age Teachings or allowed New Age teachings to be presented at a Christian college or university? Brannon plays New Age Mormon Glenn Beck proclaiming New Age teachings during a 2010 commencement address at Liberty University. How did the football stadium full of Christians respond to Becks New Age spirituality? Did Christians walk out or sit in silence in disapproval or did Beck receive cheers and a standing ovation? Topic: Brannon looks at 2 Timothy that calls for Christians to suffer hardshipas a good soldier of Christ Jesus. While evangelicals are setting aside theology and compromising the gospel in order to reclaim the country, Brannon details how under persecution, and through upholding the gospel, Christians in China grew from 700,000 to between 30 million and 100 million. Topic: Brannon shares the testimony of faithful men such as Andrew Melville, John Wesley, and George Whitefield that reached untold numbers for Jesus Christ but did so while not spiritually partnering with the world or compromising the gospel. In fact, these men were reviled by the world and by much of the religious establishment.” ~ Brannon Howse

In the video entitled “Glenn Beck ‘I AM‘”, Beck teaches people to see themselves as gods. The posting of this video, in now way, endorses the videographer’s wrong quotation of 1Timothy 4:1-5, which was quoted from a corrupt translation of the Bible.
The link entitled “A Quantum Change“, Kari Browning gives her false prophecy about God changing the church’s expression, and understanding, of Christianity in one generation, and that the church will be introduced to the “quantum realm”.
God has promised that He will change the understanding and expression of Christianity in one generation. I believe we are that generation, and the way that unbelievers perceive the Church will radically change in the next few years. There is great understanding coming to the Church about the quantum realm, and I believe it will help facilitate the change that has been prophesied. ~ Kari Browning

Authors of Confusion Pt. 14 – John Piper
What makes John Piper one of the many authors of confusion is his willingness to partner with heretics, and affirm them as orthodox; thus handing many of his follows over to wolves who will lead them into the false gospel of easy-believism, and the social gospel, which cannot save anyone from the wrath of God, and the heretical practices of mysticism, which introduce people to a counterfeit Holy Spirit that leads them away from Christ, and his gospel, and into the lewdness of heretics.
All of this can be seen by Pipers partnership with, and endorsement of, the following heretics:
-
Rick Warren, who promotes mysticism, easy-believism, the social gospel, and even the “new world order” through humanitarianism and philanthropy. Click on the provided link entitled “Piper Warren interview” to learn more.
-
Beth Moore, who is a mystic, who claims to have visions from God about the church uniting with every Christian denomination, and even including Roman Catholicism within her list of Christian denominations. Click on the provided link entitled “BETH MOORE AND JOHN PIPER” & “God Shows Beth Moore A Vision Of The Church In The Dimension Jesus Sees It” to learn more.
-
Mark Driscoll, who blasphemes Jesus Christ, promotes the drinking of alcohol among Christians, indulges in blaspheming the Holy Spirit by claiming to have pornographic visions from God, introduces Christians to a sex toy shop on his church’s website, and leads his congregation into mystical practices. Click on the provided link entitled “Authors of Confusion Pt. 7 – Mark Driscoll’s ‘Cultural Relevance’” & “Piper loves Driscoll’s theology.” to learn more.
Piper also promotes the heresy of “Christian Hedonism” as seen in these two links entitled “We Want You to Be a Christian Hedonist!” & “John Piper – What is Christian Hedonism?“.
In the article entitled, “We Want You to be a Christian Hedonist”, Piper makes claims that contradicts the essentials of the faith as taught in Scripture. The claims are listed below:
-
“God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” – The Bible does not teach this. Instead, it teaches this…”Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).” & “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy (1Peter 2:9-10).”
-
“The desire to be happy is a proper motive for every good deed…” – The Bible does not teach this. Instead, it teaches this…”If ye love me, keep my commandments (J0hn 14:15).” & “…the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2Corinthians 5:14-15).” Therefore, the proper motive for doing good works is that of love for, and gratefulness to, Jesus Christ, who gave his life so that we could be saved from the wrath of God. Here is another motive for doing what is right…”Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates (2Corinthians 13:5)?” & “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments (1John 2:3).” Therefore, we also do good works for the sake of being sure that we belong to God, and are not false converts.
-
“…if you abandon the pursuit of your own joy you cannot love man or please God.” – The Bible does not teach this. Instead, it teaches this…”If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:26-27).” & “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:33)” & “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:24-26)?” The Bible also gives us this warning…”Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, ***whose God is their belly***, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things (Philippians 3:17-19).” & “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, ***blasphemers***, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, ***lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God***; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: ***from such turn away*** (2Timothy 3:1-5).” Therefore, loving God is not at all loving one’s own pleasure, nor is loving God pleasure seeking. Also, “Love…does not seek its own…(1Corinthians 13:5)”.
The article is full of these kind of deceptive statements, which contradict Scripture, and the essentials of the gospel. These kind of statements can also be found in the video clip entitled “John Piper – What is Christian Hedonism?”, and they are listed below:
-
“God serves us. We don’t have to be his servants. I like that” – The Bible does not teach this. Instead, it teaches this…”Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them (John 13:13-17).” & “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 24:44-51).” & “Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand (Romans 14:3-4).” & “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; ***serving the Lord*** (Romans 12:10-11)”.
-
“I don’t lift his burdens. He lifts my burdens” – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). Therefore, believers are commanded to stop carrying their own burdens, and to, instead, carry God’s burden, which is to love others, and to proclaim the gospel to everyone.
After making these statements, he contradicts himself, and says that “God himself is our joy”, and “he does not work for us”. This is confusion. Furthermore, their is no need to teach hedonism for any reason. Believers can be sufficiently built up in their faith without these heretical claims. All that this heresy of Christian Hedonism serves to do is to stir up strifes concerning the essentials of the faith, and for no good reason.
Piper has persisted in making major offenses concerning the faith by his partnership with heretics (1John 2:8-11), and with his false gospel of hedonism (Galatians 1:8-9, Galatians 5:8-9). Scripture gives of his warning, and command, about those who do so…
Romans 16
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil (Matthew 7:18).
